Windsor Police have issued an arrest warrant for a contractor wanted in connection with a $155,000 home renovation fraud in Amherstburg.

What police say happened

In early October, the Windsor Police Service's Amherstburg Criminal Investigations Unit began investigating after a report that a contractor had collected deposits for home renovation work that was never completed, police said in a news release Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026.

Investigators determined that Jessie Flaricee, 41, operating as MBS Home Solutions, collected about $155,000 from a homeowner under the pretence of completing renovations. During the work, the Town of Amherstburg advised the homeowner to stop further construction on the house, police said. The home was reportedly left uninhabitable.

Police say investigators learned that MBS Home Solutions was dissolved for non-compliance in November 2024.

The charges

The warrant was issued on charges of fraud over $5,000, obtaining funds by false pretences over $5,000, and uttering a forged document. The charges have not been tested in court.

The description police released

Police describe Flaricee as a Black man, about 5'10" tall and 200 lbs., with a medium build and facial hair.
