How this section works
- Every candidate is held to the same standard. We take each pledge from the candidate's own campaign site, or from their own published answers to the Windsor News questionnaire, and keep the date and the link.
- Statuses change only for people the City Clerk has declared elected, and every change links a public record.
- Meeting recaps use the City's approved minutes. If a vote was recorded, we name who voted which way.
- When we ask the City a question and it goes unanswered, it stays on the list with the date we asked.
Term dates
The 2026 to 2030 term of office runs from Nov. 15, 2026 to Nov. 14, 2030 (Ontario). The City's meeting calendar lists the inaugural meeting of council on Nov. 16, 2026 (City of Windsor).
The existing Council in plain English pages (one per meeting, all minutes) and the election-season promise list stay up as the record.
Method: promises come only from each candidate's own campaign site, with the date we read it. A status changes only for people the City Clerk has declared elected, and only with a link to a public record. Votes come from the City's approved minutes. Corrections: our corrections log.
