Windsor Election 2026
Windsor votes Monday, Oct. 26, 2026 for mayor, ward councillors and school board trustees. Here are the key dates, how to vote and every Windsor News election story, with links to the City's official election pages.
Dates, places and hours are from the City of Windsor's election pages, checked Oct. 6, 2026. The City says advance voting dates, locations and hours are subject to change, so check WindsorElections.ca before you go.
Key dates
- Fri. Oct. 9: Advance voting at the WFCU Centre, 8787 McHugh St.: in person (gym) or drive-thru (Reception Hall parking lot), 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Sat. Oct. 10: Advance voting at the WFCU Centre, 8787 McHugh St.: in person (gym) or drive-thru (Reception Hall parking lot), 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Wed. Oct. 14: Advance voting at Capri Pizzeria Recreation Complex (sports gym), 2555 Pulford St., 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Thu. Oct. 15: Advance voting at All Saints' Anglican Church, 330 City Hall Square West, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Sat. Oct. 17: Advance voting at Mic Mac Park, 1125 Prince Rd. (enter from Matchette Road), drive-thru only, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Mon. Oct. 19: Advance voting at Most Precious Blood Parish, 1947 Meldrum Rd., 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Mon. Oct. 26: Voting Day. Vote at any voting location in your ward, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you are in line before 8 p.m., you can still vote.
How to vote
- Bring identification. You do not need your voter card to vote.
- On Voting Day you can vote at any voting location in your own ward.
- Eligible voters ride Transit Windsor free when going to vote on any advance voting day or on Voting Day.
- Your ballot lists mayor, your ward councillor and, unless the seat was acclaimed, school board trustee. Which trustee race you see depends on your school support on the voters' list.

- Voter cards mail the week of Sept. 28, and you don't need one to vote
Cards should arrive the first week of October. Without one, bring accepted ID to a polling place in your ward.
