CBC Windsor hosts live mayoral debate Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 4 p.m.

CBC News Windsor is hosting a live mayoral debate on Tuesday, Oct. 6, beginning at 4 p.m. The debate is 45 minutes long. Viewers can watch on the CBC Windsor website, the CBC Windsor FAST channel and the CBC Windsor YouTube channel.

The participants are Drew Dilkens, Fred Francis and Kat Pasquach. CBC Windsor News host Acton Clarkin will moderate. The topics are homelessness, the cost of living and jobs. Viewers can submit questions to windsor@cbc.ca.

Eleven candidates are running for mayor in the Oct. 26 municipal election. In addition to Dilkens, Francis and Pasquach, the field includes Benjamin Danyluk, Aaron Day, Dylon Graves, Tara Grayer, Nick Kolasky, Tristan Ty Morencie, Patrick Sutherland and Louis Vaupotic.

CBC's Oct. 2 announcement names the three who will take part. It does not say how those three were chosen or whether other candidates were invited.

Windsor News asked CBC Windsor how the three participants were selected and whether other candidates were invited or declined. Windsor News also emailed the other eight mayoral candidates for comment, with CBC Windsor and CTV Windsor copied. Responses were requested by Monday, Oct. 5 at 5 p.m. A follow-up with any replies is planned for Tuesday.
