The deadlines

Why the police board matters
The Windsor Police Service Board sets policy for the Windsor Police Service. In the City of Windsor's words, the board's mandate is "to set policy and to maintain an adequate and efficient police service, working with the community, city council and the police service."
Council fills four of the board's seats: the mayor or a designate, two members of council, and one resident who is neither a councillor nor a City employee. The other seats are filled by the province, which runs its own application process.
LaSalle is recruiting too
The Town of LaSalle is taking applications for its Accessibility Advisory Committee, By-law Appeal Committee, Committee of Adjustment, Court of Revision and LaSalle Police Services Board for the new council term. LaSalle's deadline is earlier: Friday, Nov. 13, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.
How to apply
Windsor's application forms are on the City's ABC recruitment page, and printed copies are in the main lobby of City Hall, 350 City Hall Square West. LaSalle's forms are on the Town's Boards and Committees page.
Council makes the appointments to Windsor's boards and committees.
