Windsor News keeps a public list of the on-the-record questions it sends, with each reply deadline and what came back. This update covers 14 sets of questions sent from Oct. 4 to Oct. 14, checked against our email on the morning of Oct. 14.

Due Oct. 13, no reply

The City of Windsor's Corporate Communications office was asked on Oct. 9 about the 1% hospital levy Council approved on April 25, 2016: the final year it will be collected, whether the 1% stays in the budget afterward, how much it has raised, and whether the City's $108.5 million share of the new hospital could rise. No reply had arrived as of Oct. 14.

The Drew Dilkens campaign was sent five follow-up questions on Oct. 8, on its social media blocking policy, a debate open to all 11 mayoral candidates, shelter funding and an interview request. No reply had arrived as of Oct. 14.

Replies that left questions open

MPP Andrew Dowie replied Oct. 8 and Oct. 9 with provincial Homelessness Prevention Program figures but did not answer the questions asked. The Dilkens campaign replied Oct. 8 that Windsor News did not appear to be blocked on its Facebook page, without answering the questions on intent or policy. Ten of 12 requests to other mayoral candidates were answered; Aaron Day did not reply to either.

Older questions with no reply

The City Clerk's elections office, asked Oct. 5 whether the City has any role in debate invitations; the Dilkens, Francis and Pasquach campaigns, asked Oct. 5 to comment on the eight candidates not invited to CBC Windsor's debate; the Dilkens and Francis campaigns, asked Oct. 5 about automated campaign texts; and CBC Windsor, asked Oct. 4 how its debate lineup was chosen.

Still open

The CBC Ombud acknowledged a complaint on Oct. 8; a CBC News reply is expected within about 20 working days. Stellantis declined to comment on Oct. 14. Unifor was asked to reply by noon Oct. 16.
