Windsor's municipal election is one week away. Here's what you need to know so voting takes a few minutes, not a whole evening.
When
Voting Day is Monday, Oct. 26. Voting places are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Where
The City of Windsor says eligible voters can vote at any voting location in their ward on Voting Day. The City's Election Day Voting Locations page lists every location, ward by ward, with ward maps.
What to bring
Bring identification showing your name and qualifying address. Photo ID is not required. If your voter notification card never arrived, you can still vote with acceptable ID. You can check whether you're on the voters' list through the City's Online Voter Services page.
Running late
If you're in line at the voting place before it closes at 8 p.m., you can still vote. That's set out in Ontario's Municipal Elections Act.
Getting there
Eligible voters can ride Transit Windsor for free when they go to vote on Voting Day.
