Border officers at the Ambassador Bridge seized 127 kilograms of suspected cocaine from a commercial truck arriving from the United States, the Canada Border Services Agency announced Monday.
The CBSA says the truck was referred for a secondary examination on Sept. 11, 2026. Border services officers used a detector dog to find the suspected cocaine in the trailer.
Two men from Mississauga, aged 61 and 41, were arrested and turned over to the RCMP with the seized drugs. The RCMP charged both men with importing cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The case is before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor. The charges have not been proven in court.
The CBSA says its Southern Ontario Region has seized 1.67 tonnes of cocaine so far in 2026.
