The City of Windsor has closed its splash pads for the season and is starting to close seasonal park washrooms, but some accessible park washrooms stay open through the fall and winter.
Splash pads
All City splash pads are now closed. Over the next month, crews will carry out routine maintenance and inspections so each splash pad is ready to reopen in May 2027, weather permitting, the City says. Outdoor pools are also unavailable during the off season.
Seasonal washrooms
Closing the seasonal park washrooms lets Parks staff winterize them. That work includes draining water lines, adding antifreeze where needed and securing the buildings until spring. The City expects all seasonal washroom closures to be in effect by mid-November, weather permitting. Seasonal washrooms are normally open from early May to late October.
Open all year
The City lists these accessible park washrooms as open year-round:
Assumption North Park (by the Ambassador Bridge)
Caron Avenue Park
Charles Clark Square
Coventry Gardens (Reaume Park)
Dieppe Gardens Park (outside the Bistro)
Elizabeth Kishkon Park
Festival Plaza Park
Jackson Park (Sunken Gardens)
Little River Corridor Park (by the pump track and Hope Hill)
Malden Park Visitors Centre
