The Windsor Lancers men's basketball team lost a two-point game to the UBC Thunderbirds on Thursday, falling 96-94 at the Naismith Classic in Waterloo, according to the Lancers' official schedule. Windsor plays the Victoria Vikes at 2 p.m. today and the Dalhousie Tigers at noon Saturday to close the tournament. The Lancers open OUA play Oct. 23 at Guelph.

The Amherstburg Admirals shut out the Walpole Island Wild 7-0 on the road in Provincial Junior Hockey League play. Amherstburg hosts the Blenheim Blades on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Lancers men's hockey plays at the Western Mustangs in London at 7 p.m. The teams meet again Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Adie Knox Arena.
