Fanshawe sweeps St. Clair Saints baseball doubleheader
Fanshawe swept St. Clair baseball 9-7 and 3-2 at Lacasse Park. Erick Arosemena hit a three-run homer in a five-run seventh in game one, and Tyler Brown-Amlin struck out 11 in game two. The Saints are 9-6. Today, Lancers women's hoops faces StFX at 4 PM in Toronto.

Clair College in a conference baseball doubleheader at Lacasse Park in Tecumseh on Wednesday, Oct. 7, winning 9-7 and 3-2. The losses ended a six-game Saints winning streak and dropped St. Clair to 9-6. Fanshawe improved to 15-1.
In the first game, Fanshawe led 9-2 going to the bottom of the seventh. The Saints scored five runs in the inning on a three-run homer by Erick Arosemena, a solo homer by Andrew Sleiman and an RBI single by Quintin McEwan, but the rally fell two runs short. Carter Hand got the win for Fanshawe.
The second game was a pitchers' duel. Tyler Brown-Amlin struck out 11 over 6.2 innings for St. Clair, allowing four hits. The Saints led 2-0 after three innings before Fanshawe tied it in the fifth, and Connor Rodwin's RBI single in the seventh scored the winning run. Neil McComb struck out nine for Fanshawe and Kaleb Seguin earned the save.
The Saints host Sheridan in a doubleheader on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

The Lancers women's basketball team plays StFX in an exhibition game in Toronto on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 4 p.m.
On Friday, Lancers soccer hosts Algoma at Alumni Stadium, with the women at 6 p.m. and the men at 8:15 p.m. Lancers men's hockey hosts Lakehead at Adie Knox Arena at 7:30 p.m. St. Clair's women's softball team opens the CCSA national championship in Oshawa against UBCO. The Windsor Spitfires host Oshawa at the WFCU Centre on Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
