The Dragging Ghost of Mackenzie Hall

Witching Hour is our nightly local history and folklore feature. Ghost stories and legends are retold as stories people tell, not reported as fact. Sources are listed below the story.

Staff and visitors have long told of the "Dragging Ghost" of Mackenzie Hall, Windsor's 1855 courthouse and jail: a custodian alone at night heard his ladder scrape across the floor. Three times.

In 2018, a lost ghost-hunting gadget there drew the bomb squad.
