Festival of Hawks at Holiday Beach

The ERCA and Holiday Beach Migration Observatory festival ran Sept. 19 and 20, with raptor shows, the Hawk Tower and banding.

The Festival of Hawks ran Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20 at Holiday Beach. It is co-hosted by the Essex Region Conservation Authority (ERCA) and the Holiday Beach Migration Observatory (HBMO).

Gates were open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission was $20 per vehicle per day, with seasonal pass holders included.

The program included the Hawk Tower, live bird of prey shows at 10 a.m. and noon by the Canadian Raptor Conservancy, bird banding, hikes and a vendor village.
